- Creative Commons.
Creative Commons brokers the creation of a copyright license that is more flexible than the "all rights reserved" of the traditional copyright. An author can dedicate a work to the public domain or retain copyright while also allowing the work to be freely used under certain conditions(e.g.,if the author is given credit, for noncommerical purposes, or for use by developing nations). The computerized form accommodates various formats(audio, video, image, text, or interactive-even sampling) and several jurisdictions (i.e.,other countries). The site also provides databases to help find works which are freely available or have flexible license,including educational plans, course packets, textbooks, as well as text, video, images, etc. The tools on the site are free and can be used to create a legally viable terms-of-use document.
